My Journey & Mission
As a classical singer and music educator, I enjoy sharing music, skills, and abilities with others. I am a Trauma Informed Educator who practices non-violent communication. I am passionate about helping others learn and grow in their pursuit of their musical and acting passions and education. My online lessons and coaching are designed to create a safe learning environment and to empower students of all levels to find their unique voice and express themselves through song.
I have loved music and acting since I was child. My first instrument was piano and later on voice. I was a musical theatre and drama kid in junior high and high school. In my young adult life I pursed accounting and business administration in college and stayed active as a singer in choral groups and small vocal ensembles. I learned to play handbells, guitar, and continued with piano and voice lessons. After enjoying a career in accounting, I decided I wanted to make my accounting career part-time and a musical career full-time. At the age of 47, I decided to go back to college for music. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2020 and a Master of Music in Music Pedagogy (Voice) in 2024. I love all genres of music including opera, oratorio, musical theatre, folk music, jazz, pop and even country. I’ve sung with many choral groups in New York, Maine, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. In addition to teaching, I offer professional voice over services and create digital courses and apps tailored for music students and music educators. My goal is to inspire a love for music, acting and music education and provide the tools necessary for success in these endeavors.
